Tian Tian’s piano concert.

I went to Tian Tian’s piano concert. It was great. She played 3 solos total and her father, Yucheng Tian played two songs on the Pipa, one of which I played when I was still learning Pipa from him.

The songs were, in order:
Beethoven Sonata in C minor, Op. 111 by Tian Tian
Prokofiev Sonan No. 7 in B-flat Major Op. 83 by Tian Tian
Yizu Dance (彝族舞曲) by Yucheng Tian
Ambush from All Sides (十面埋伏) by Yucheng Tian
Chopin Sonata No.2 in B-flat minor, Op.35
Butterfly Lovers by Yucheng Tian and Tian Tian.

Looking back, I think if I continued to play it when I started high school, I think I would’ve appreciated alot more. Because I realized that practice comes perfect when I played in the school band, which was definitely a great experience. Tian Tian’s piano was great as usual. Her fingers looked like spider legs dancing and walking across the piano. I really liked her dress too, it was sparkly blue with a white material underneath. It was very pretty.

We took Grace and Lirong too. They were really loud in the car. I got slightly annoyed.

We bought a bouquet from a store near our house, but it didn’t look good so my mom kind of forced my dad to go somewhere else to get another one because both Tian Tian and her father were performing.

But then when they finished, only Tian Tian came out but her father didn’t and I had the bouquet that had been for him. So I’m like sitting near the stage where all the flower giving people were and then I kind of freaked out because he didn’t come out. So then when everyone got up, I went backstage and gave it to him.

It was fairly a good day, except my dad made me write numbers and the alphabet again, because mine didn’t look pretty.
