Posted in Life, School on 09/22/2007 03:06 am by LilyKatie was supposed to come this weekend. Chen, Lulu and I were all really looking forward to having her over. But because of the fact that her car got sent to the shop, she couldn’t come this weekend. Jeff was pretty sad, and I am sad too.
I had my first Physics lab on Tuesday, and it went fairly well, nothing too hard or too difficult. When I asked for my partner to write down his name and contact info, he wrote Ramen, and I asked him if he knew the definition of the word in Japanese. He answered, “Yeah, it means noodles. And, my last name’s Nissan.”
Laugh out loud xD.
My Chemistry lab would be a totally different story. First, we were supposed to boil the solution through and evaporate the added water. But me, who didn’t read it too carefully, added too much water than needed so it took about 20 whole minutes to decrease the volume of the liquid to 5 mL. And then, when I asked the person who worked beside me to check if it has been cooled to room temperature enough, and while she was trying to do that, she knocked the Erlenmeyer flask and more than half of the liquid spilled. And, apparently there was some changes from the lab manual and I didn’t pay attention to the pre-lab talk… So, I wasted a lot of time wondering what I should do next. It was a really horrible lab. I even left a question blank in the write-up because I didn’t have time to finish it. It just went really badly.
Wednesday night, I went to the UWO Choir practice. It was definitely needed because it took my mind off of the crappy Chemistry lab that happened before. It was the first time I participated in a real choir, one that was separated into Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Basses. It was very difficult because we were required to sing while sight reading the staff. I had never done that before; it almost felt like the first band practice in grade nine when I couldn’t even read the notes at all. Though I know practice makes perfect so it didn’t bother me very much.
I have until October 3rd to pay the club fees, so I have a little more time to decide.
There’s a social for Choir on Sunday, but I have a lot of work to do so I don’t think I will go.
Today, I went to the first WAVE showing. I was really disappointed because, last year when I went up to WAVE’s booth, they were playing The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. At the time, I recognized it but haven’t seen it. Now that I’ve seen it, and another year has gone by, when I went into the room that WAVE was in, they were still watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and I was just really disappointed. I wondered, ‘Why are you still watching it?’ Geh. And then afterwards, they started showing RahXephon, which I have seen the beginning of, but didn’t like it very much. After RahXephon, they showed Cromartie High School, which quite possibly is the most hilarious anime I have seen in a long time. Then they showed Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society. I was really impressed, it was one of the best anime movies I have ever seen. In terms of plot, the only ones that can match the movie is Death Note and Monster. Though, because I don’t know the original manga for Full Metal Alchemist, I can’t add it to that list.
Now that I’m home, I’m worried about the things I need to do this weekend. For example, the one Physics assignment that’s due on Monday, another different Physics assignment due on Tuesday, and also my Physics lab write-up due on Tuesday.
I hope you all content, and happy <3.

I have a physics lab due monday. roar. let us both work hard on ours.
WAVE sounds like fun. I just started watching MHSuzumiya 2 days ago. It’s… very different. and cool. I like the random way they order episodes; it’s like seeing things the Tralfamadorian way <3
