Why do I mention this? Are you ready to read a really really long post? Are you?
I took a personality test. The kind of test that actually make sense and the results are usually very very true.
I’m sure many of you will agree with these results…

My answers to the questions gave me these results from the personality test..

(I took out the original bolded terms and added the ones I thought were very accurate. Comments in square brackets…)
About the INFP
Expert Quotes & Links
“To understand Healers, we must understand their idealism as almost boundless and selfless, inspiring them to make extraordinary sacrifices for someone or something they believe in [I guess I tend to go about this the wrong way sometimes, but I would really sacrifice many things for some of you]. The Healer is the Prince or Princess of fairytale, the King’s Champion or Defender of the Faith…” - The Portrait of a Healer Idealist (Keirsey)
“INFPs are highly intuitive about people. They rely heavily on their intuitions to guide them, and use their discoveries to constantly search for value in life. They are on a continuous mission to find the truth and meaning underlying things. Every encounter and every piece of knowledge gained gets sifted through the INFP’s value system, and is evaluated to see if it has any potential to help the INFP define or refine their own path in life.”
- Portrait of an INFP (The Personality Page)
“creative, smart [not that often though], idealist, loner, attracted to sad things [way too true], disorganized, avoidant [I avoid things when I don't know how to deal with them.], can be overwhelmed by unpleasant feelings…”
- INFP Jung Type Descriptions (similarminds.com)
“An INFP’s feelings form the foundations of the individual. They are sacred and binding, in the sense that their emergence requires no further justification. An INFP’s feelings are often guarded, kept safe from attack and ridicule. Only a few, close confidants are permitted entrance into this domain [you know who you are]. ”
- INFP Profile (INFP Mailing List)
“Highly creative, artistic and spiritual, they can produce wonderful works of art [wonderful may be a bit too extreme], music [we'll see 'bout this one] and literature [haha, nope, not yet]. INFPs are natural artists. They will find great satisfaction if they encourage and develop their artistic abilities. That doesn’t mean that an INFP has to be a famous writer or painter in order to be content. Simply the act of “creating” will be a fulfilling source of renewal and refreshment [yes, this is very true] to the INFP. An INFP should allow himself or herself some artistic outlet [yes, this definitely is a good idea], because it will add enrichment and positive energy to their life.” - INFP Personal Growth (The Personality Page)
“INFPs never seem to lose their sense of wonder. One might say they see life through rose-colored glasses [Marina is right: fundamentally, I'm a happy and hopeful person.]. It’s as though they live at the edge of a looking-glass world where mundane objects come to life [slightly exaggerated, but this is true to an extent], where flora and fauna take on near-human qualities.”
- INFP Profile (TypeLogic)
“Their job must be fun, although not raucous [raucous is practically never in my vocabulary], and it must be meaningful to them [very very true]. They need a strong purpose in their work. They want to be recognized and valued, without undue attention given to them. They may become embarrassed when make the center of attention. As a result, they may undersell their strengths in order to avoid being singled out and made to feel conspicuous. They would rather have their worth be noticed gradually over time.”
- INFP - The Dreamer (Lifexplore)
I’d say about 99.9999% of the above table is right. Probably only one thing doesn’t fit (the intuitive part), but the rest are right on the dot. Especially the last two sentences from Lifexplore.
And then.. a list of famous/well-known people who are INFP - Dreamers.

The only one I’m warming up to from this list is Amy Tan, for she is one of my favourite novelists. And I can understand why she is a INFP Dreamer.. My favourite novel of hers, The Hundred Secret Senses, is a complete modern fairytale. I loved it so much after I finished it.
Interesting that J. R. R. Tolkien, Mary, Princess Diana, George Orwell, Helen Keller, William Shakespeare and Calvin were on this list. I think, at at least one point in my life, I probably would’ve liked to do what they do/did. Er, I don’t really like Shakespeare’s stories, but his writing style is very interesting though.

I have to say Amy Tan is one of the favorite authors too.
I thought I read it wrong at first but… you’re really attracted to sad people, dearie?
Researcher? Social Scientist? you want to do that kind of career? It’s fun, you know. Although sometimes, you really have to deal with different kind of people.
Lily… don’t be a loner ne? It would be really heartbreaking to see you being a total loner. Dear lily needs tohave more friends because you deserve it, ne?
