I’ve had my doubts with it - wasn’t sure how it was going to be adapted. Ever since I saw the first two episodes, it didn’t feel all that special or great. Now, I am six episodes in (I spent the latter half of the afternoon watching it) and I am quite excited by it. The actors are finally bringing excitement and the occasional humor into the show and I am enjoying it.
At the beginning, I disliked Hayami Mokomichi’s version of Tenjou Night because he was extremely robotic. Disliked it so much that I stopped watching it (that among other reasons). Due to boredom and the slight inspiration and giddy-ness provided by the presence of an iPod, I’ve been downloading and converting dramas so they could be shown on iPod’s. (I wish Apple made avi’s playable because converting .avi to .mov takes a long time.) Now, I am more than halfway in, and I am enjoying it more and more.
Not knowing how much of the original manga they had changed in the adaptation, I am kind of on the edge of my seat waiting for more.
I haven’t continued Last Friends because Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend) was more of a stress reliever than Last Friends. I felt I would enjoy Zettai Kareshi more.
(Thanks for Take me to Tokyo by the way.)

Ah, yes. switching the 15+ inch laptop screen for 2.5 inch screen to watch dramas. Good for you. XD! At least it shows you really like your ipod! …I should start ZK…

Lol.
Wow…I dropped Last Friends for Zettai Kareshi too!
From what I read on wikipedia, it looks that they changed the original manga quite a lot. For example, Female Lead is suppose to be in high school when she got a robot, but in the drama, she’s already working. I prefer the drama version more though…since I’m really tired to high school settings.

HAHA.. Yeah Riiko was in high school, and the Nightly Series was already in mass production when Riiko got Night I think. And manga-Riiko never wanted to be a pastry chef, also Soushi lives right next door to her.
